Linux is a Free operating system. This means the source code is available to everyone and permission is given to modify the source code at will. The stipulation generally is that you must make your modifications available to the public. You can read more about a popular license at (GPL).

This is an attempt at providing some basic instructions for building a PC. You can learn to build a PC even if you have no previous experience. Enter at your own risk.
